About Crazy Carlo

Carlo is an experienced children’s entertainer.  His love of entertaining began early on in life, with him putting on his puppet shows at school.  He then went on to do his formal training at the College of Magic in Cape Town where he honed his skills in Puppetry, Mime, Clowning and Ventriloquism.  He is a long time member of the Association of Puppetry of South Africa (UNIMA SA) and the Cape Magicians’ Circle, and is the proud recipient of a silver medallion for his stage act “Taxi Magic” in 2009.  

His passion and dedication to all things magical and entertaining keep him busy with many and varied projects which all focus on bringing joy and upliftment into life.  He teaches puppetry and ventriloquism, he is always working on new material for his shows, and giving back to the community in his volunteer work as a Hospital Entertainer and as a part of various outreach programmes.  

His career began in earnest in 2005 and he has been performing all over Cape Town ever since at private birthday parties and family functions as well as at public events.  Carlo also has a police clearance certificate.
